Child Safety Standards

HERO Matchmaker is an 18+ dating service operated by HERO Matchmaker. We have a zero-tolerance policy for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This page is our published child safety standard.

Age

You must be 18 or older. We do not allow accounts, profiles, photos, or messages that depict or involve anyone under 18.

CSAE is prohibited

Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) is banned. That includes grooming, sexualization of a minor, sexual content involving a minor, and any attempt to use HERO Matchmaker to contact a child.

CSAM takedown

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) is banned. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE on HERO Matchmaker, we remove the content, close the account, and keep records as the law requires.

NCMEC reporting

We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. Where another country’s law applies, we also report to the relevant regional authority.

How to report

Use Report on a profile or message, or Contact Us with the subject “Child safety.” Include the profile name or a description of what you saw.
